Penstemon hirsutus, Hairy beardtongue, is an easy-to-grow native perennial due to its environmental adaptability. Penstemon hirsutus can grow in full sun to full shade, in moist to dry conditions. Their leaves are light green, with a small basal floret. They flower from May to June with light purple panicles of tubular flowers.
