Amsonia hubrichtii, known commonly as Threadleaf bluestar, is a long-lived mounding, warm-season perennial with spring-blooms of star-shaped, light blue flowers. Threadleaf bluestar has finely textured foliage, with many narrow leaves creating an eye-catching array of textures. Growing 2-4' tall, Amsonia hubrichtii is a shrub-like perennial best for full sun to partially shaded, moist gardens. During the fall, Threadleafed bluestar has vibrant golden-yellow fall color making it a brilliant addition to any garden.
