Oenothera fruticosa ssp. glauca is a native subspecies of Oenothera fruticosa, distinguishable by slightly larger leaves with a reddish tint and speckles of maroon when young. The ssp. glauca has somewhat lighter yellow flowers, though still as eye-catching as the straight species floral display. Most other characteristics are the same as Oenothera fruitcosa.
