Glyceria striata, Fowl mannagrass, can be found in marshes, wet banks, damp woods, and occasionally in shallow water. Fowl mannagrass provides food and shelter to a wide variety of aquatic wildlife. Glyceria striata is an unassuming widespread green native perennial grass growing 2–3' tall in full sun to part shade. This drought tolerant rapid spreader may be used in storm water basins and areas in need of soil stabilization.
